Outside Pixie Cabin, Friday Afternoon

Angela had shipped almost all of her stuff home, but it wasn't time to leave for her flight yet. The last of her luggage was stacked just inside the cabin living room. Outside the cabin, she sat on the ground near the campfire, poking at the ashes with a stick and thinking.

Before heading back to her cabin to get ready for the luau, Isabel stopped by Pixie. "All packed?"

"Oh absolutely," Isabel promised. "And we can make him show us all the sights."

"It's a plan," Angela said, making herself smile.

She stood. "Can I have a hug? Even if I am seeing you again."

[izzyalienqueen]

"Of course," she agreed, opening her arms. "Hugs are always welcome."

Angela squeezed Isabel tightly. "And if you can stay in touch, please, please do," she added.

Isabel was squeezing back just as hard. "I will. I want to hear about your adventures in New York and about Marty and everything."

"You won't be able to avoid me," Angela promised around the lump n her throat. "Take care of the library this summer."

[izzyalienqueen]

Yeah, good-byes didn't get any easier. "I will. I've already been up there, cleaning up the damage from the relatives." It was a weak joke, but all she had at the moment.

"I'm guessing they're off your Christmas Card list," Angela joked back, just as weakly. "So ... I'll see you. Really."

"Oh absolutely," Isabel nodded. "You will." Hopefully. Maybe. "Take care of yourself Angela."

"You too," Angela said, managing a slight smile.

Isabel gave her a small wave, then headed off to Platypus. There was time to kill before the luau, Isabel planned on spending it with her yearbook and her memories.
