Room 304, Thursday night

Angela was playing Tetris on her new-old phone when her old-new phone rang. She picked it up, noticing her parents' number on the caller ID.

"Hello?" she said, figuring her mom was scheduling stuff for the weekend. Graduation weekend. That was weird

Parker was wandering. And avoiding phone messages. So seeing Angela's door open, she knocked on the frame. "Hey, Angela."

Parker gave her a sympathetic look, and said, "That's... good. Although I was looking forward to seeing your dad again. Your family's pretty cool." She looked curious. "Your best friend from home's coming, though? That's good."

"My family ... yeah, they could be worse," Angela said. "And yep. Rayanne and two other people. My mom wasn't sure who and I haven't been able to get her on the phone to ask. Who's coming for you?"

"My dad and his bodyguard, probably, although he doesn't get here until Saturday. At least he's supposed to. Sydney's planning on showing up tomorrow. I may drag him to the party on the beach," Parker said mischeviously. "Angelo wanted to come, but I sent him three extra boxes of Lucky Charms not to do anything stupid."

Angela chuckled. "I love the idea of Sydney on the beach, somehow," she said. "And yeah, Angelo should stay faaaaar away if your dad is coming."

Parker shuddered. "Yeah. The day they meet up again... I plan on being on another continent." She smirked. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow's party. And the Graduation ceremony. It's just everything after that which has me wondering." She shook her head. "We'll do something fun before we're both out of here."

"We have to," Angela said. "Last spa day, maybe, so we go intot eh world looking amazing?"

[mparkerceo]

"Ooo. Great idea. I'm going to miss Theodoric's. And Sven." Parker sighed wistfully. "Definitely, some time before we go. And show our best faces to the world when we cross that Causeway."

[chasingangela]

"The world will need to be ready for us," Angela said, yawning. "I was going to get ready for bed -- I guess I'll see you at the thing tomorrow?"

[mparkerceo]

"Definitely. Sleep well, Angela. We're almost there," Parker said over her shoulder as she headed for the door. "Thirty-six hours and counting. Night!"
