Mobile Me

I'm just not seeing anything that makes it compelling. Am I missing something? Something I won't realize is awesome until I use it? I'm tempted simply by Find My iPhone, but I don't plan on losing it, and there's other ways to accomplish pretty much the same thing. So there's gotta be more to than that, right?

Ummmm there's really not much to it. I've had .Mac (turned Mobile Me) for... 9 years? 10? I pay $100 a year to maintain my @mac.com email address that also allows me to alias 5 more. The combo of full app integration, a wonderful web interface, and exact integration into my iPhone (including immediate push), for the most part, is the only reason I buy it.

You do get 20 gigs of storage so that, if you choose, you can host your website on their servers -- pending you aren't generation an assload of traffic. I host mine there -- my URL points to it. Nothing is on it while I'm looking for a job, however, other than my resume.

Other than that, the other features are nice, but I'd have to say that I next-to-never use them.
