This was a great piece. I liked the outside pov of Patrick and thought he was a very well done OC. I felt bad for him when he found out about Dom, but I liked the way he dealt with it as both cop and civilian.

Great Brian pov too, as he considered what his life is and how he's become 'that' guy. I wonder who he'll chose? Before reading this, I would've said Dom, but having seen what Brian and Pat have and how Pat understands where Brian is, is willing to help him and put Dom behind them, ths fact that Pat represents a stable life doing a job Brian enjoys, well, there's a strong argument for him too. Poor Brian all confused.

Thank you. I am fairly happy with how Pat turned out. It is a tough choice and unfortunately Dom is now starting to feel the sting of Brian's uncertainty.

He has been whispering dark suggestions in my ear which can only lead to a bad end ;-)and possibly another fic.

Thank you, that's great to hear. It's always a little dicey when you put an OC in the middle of the OTP. I'm glad it worked telling it from his POV.
