Metres per hour make MUCH more sense to me than feet per hour, or any British unit per hour, for that matter. :)

I don't think the speed could possibly be in metres per hour. WP has the sailfish going 110,000 metres in an hour. I believe its in metres per second.

I'd say its pretty straight forward. Just an FYI, a metre is only a little more that yard (about 3 1/2 inches more). Hope that helps.
