It is not a journey that I enjoy, stepping back into the warrens of the first several years of my livejournal. I complained a lot more back then, I think. The writing feels younger, as do the topics. I cringe at many of the jokes. It is very difficult to read. I suppose, though, that my current embarrassment isn't a reflection of the -worth- of my ( Read more... )

I know what you mean... I just checked and I started mine May of 2001... I was... 14 at the time? If I look back at them they just make me sad, haha.

And Twilight won't be so bad... I can't wait to see it :D Then again I don't know how much a vampire teenage love story appeals to men, haha.

You should totally write entries more often :P

See, I -like- vampires. And I like love stories. But, yeah... I guess the 'teen' part kinda ruins the whole thing for me.

The trouble is that I see pictures like this, and imagine the vampire guy walking up to a girl he doesn't know, leaning in close, and saying something like "WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?" or "I LIKE YOUR IPOD". And then she just gets all stunned and confused.

Also, the trailer I saw looked silly.

well she wasn't listening to an ipod in the book, if that makes you feel any better. And when you see it, it will make sense as to why she is so stunned and confused.

Karen was the only person to even read my LJ for the first 6 months I had it, lol.

Haha. Well, I guess I interpret the picture and the expressions, ipod or no, as "creepy guy gets too close to girl and says something strange that causes her to think, uncomfortably, 'weirdo'".

Another example that I think would look similar: if I went up to a girl who was reading in the park and minding her own business, and I leaned over her book to tell her "Zeromus is the last boss of Final Fantasy IV". And then stared at her, unsmiling, without moving away. That is what I take away from that shot.

Probably early or midafternoon. Are you planning on having your get together friday?

Well, I wouldn't call it *my* get together, lol.

But since you have the wedding on Saturday and (I'm guessing) most people will be doing family type things on Thursday, Friday night might be best if that works for you.
