I'm so impressed by your picspam and reasons! I actually finished Kings yesterday after spending the last 5 days watching totally enthralled. You completely summed up what's so good about the show. I'm going to have to buy the DVDs now to watch over and over!

Wow, this is an amazing introduction! ♥ I've already watched the show, but stumbling upon your post was a great way to savor the aftertaste, so to speak. I found the series exceptionally well made, scripted, cast, shot... All the characters were intriguing. Like you write here, they're all complex and real. Such a shame Kings was cancelled.

It feels unjust :( I'm sometimes even a little scared of falling for new shows, because I feel like that'll "jinx" them somehow and they'll get cancelled. That has happened too often...

I especially love that you pointed out the big part symbols and symbolism have in Kings. The production design for this show really was something, every detail was looked after, just like under Queen Rose's command.

Oh, I completely adore that of the show, everything just fits perfectly, even the things you don't realize are there.

I just watched the pilot and fell in love with this show instantly. I even dragged my friend from abroad to watch it simultanously and comment live on IM, because I was so excited. Incredibly well-made, even the pilot itself showcases so many great, promising characters and foreshadows such an intense, amazing story in a beautiful setting. And then I found it was cancelled. This made me so angry. It obviously fell prey to some petty HR politics and I don't have NBC (Polish person here, found about Kings by accident, randomly clicking Leslie Bibb's gallery on IMDb), but I read it had the worst promotion in the history of crappy promotions. It's just infuriating that they have room and resources for hundreds of hours of utter mind-numbing crap and when first time in years they invested big money in a brilliant show, for some reason they decide to do everything to bomb it. Obviously those millions of dollars they spent on it wasn't precious enough to make sure it wasn't wasted

Kings its one of the most sad canellations on tv, I don't have NBC either, and the best thing I can do to help it's online capaigns and buying the dvd (because i have a friend there if not I wouldn't be able either).

We were trying to save it, doing tweeting spam to nbc and sending them mails, but it didn't have much reception. IDK about asking other networks though.
