I am NEVER getting curious AGAIN.

((OOC: Give her a day: she'll be curious again. She explored the Underground with Waverly, per a certain recommendation, and ran into some monsters. It was, as Waverly-mun so brilliantly put it, "Like 'Nam, only with more sparklies and spunk." Our brave little heroines are still sparkly and spunky, just...

curiouser and curiouser, i heart my friends!, dark things…?, negative four = do not want, tempting fate, omgwtf??, restlessness, endless curiosity, guilt guilt guilt, what is that??, never ever ever again!

What...dark things? Sarah, where did you go?

I went to the Underground - not by myself, I wouldn't do that; I was with Waverly - and you were right, you were entirely right. It's completely awful there. And there were monsters!

Did something bad happen to you?

Oh my goodness, Mitsuhide! Waverly and I - well, I mean, it was mostly my idea, but I never would have suggested it if someone else hadn't told me about it - we were in the Underground, and there were these horrible monsters. Waverly had borrowed a gun from someone, but I didn't think she would actually have to use it. It was awful, and...

...I'm not making any sense, am I?

You went to the Underground.

You make perfect sense. You shouldn't have gone there alone. You should have taken me. I have been there a lot and defeated the monsters. They're not a problem for me. But it's dangerous when you don't know how to fight.

Are you or Waverly-Mama hurt?

Y-yes. Not the best idea, I know. I...really, I knew I shouldn't have gone. I don't know why I let my curiosity get the best of me.

We really, really didn't know what we were doing. We should have taken you; I don't know why we didn't think of it. I just didn't expect it to be so - well, you know what it's like.

No, no. We're all right. Mostly we were just startled. I'm never doing that again!

Harry, did you know there were monsters? Here? In the Underground?

Of course. Everyone knows that Sarah.

I didn't.

But I do now - Waverly and I went exploring. It was a surprise, to say the least.

What happened?

Waverly and I ran into some of the less-than-hospitable residents in the City. Have you ever been Underground, Amanda?

Yes, twice, though briefly each time. The monsters aren’t friendly, but not entirely impossible to deal with when one knows there’s monsters and comes prepared… They didn’t hurt you or Waverly, did they?

Anyway, next time you’re in the Underground and either lost or in trouble, try to post to the network and I’ll come find you as quickly as I can. I’m not the best fighter up close, but I can shoot well enough to keep anything that would try to attack at bay long enough to find a way out or decide what to do from there. Or you could invite me along if you’d rather; I do need to gather more information about that part of the City.

We should have taken you with us. We should have taken you, Mitsuhide, and Neville. I'm lucky enough to have people who care and are much better at that sort of thing - why didn't I think to ask any of you?

I guess...I knew it was a bad idea, I really did.

But no, Waverly and I are all right, thank goodness.

It does seem to be a very strange part of the City, doesn't it? It would probably be very useful to do research on it, learn as much as possible. Are you planning to return?

And why's that?

Because the cliches aren't true. What you don't know will hurt you - or it will very well try, at least.

...What're you talking about, Sarah?

The fact that ignorance isn't bliss?

But if I'm not making sense - and there's a very good chance I'm not - don't mind me. Thinking out loud isn't always very clear.
