I feel groggy....anyone know what happened? Reminder to self, never volunteer to test potions again. What is today? Where'd my cat go? Did I miss most the school year ( Read more... )

... You're my TA aren't you? My goodness I've been wondering what happened to you! I do hope you're alright... my name is James Norrington and I'm the new Muggle Studies teacher.

Mad? Like literally insane?

Hogwarts was not like this when I was a student.. I mean we had mishaps, sure, but nothing like this.

He's harmless, really. I think Dumbledore brought him here to keep an eye on him. Mostly he becomes fascinated with some invention of his own mind and trips over his feet. He means well, honest.

*she smiles softly* The castle has its quirks, but it's nice enough. Most the students are good and most of the staff is pleasant. Though I can't help but goad some of them.

Yes overall the students have been nice.. some of them have an attitude but nothing too rude. I've met a few of the teachers but not all of them yet. I'm quite fond of Bob Bainbridge, but haven't seen him around lately.

*her eyes go misty and she seems to lose focus. A bit of a playful smile hovers around her lips*

He's a wonderful man, Professor Bainbridge. He can sometimes come across a bit stiffly, but he isn't as standoffish as he seems. He has a heart of gold, honest.

Ah yes I was right, he is my kindred spirit then... figuratively and literally.

*He looks at her*

You seem quite fond of him as well.

*she blushes brightly, giving a cough*

I...yes, well...it's...not returned, so to speak. He's developed into more of a...father figure.

*she looks down at the floor, still blushing, and a bit sadder than before*

Well.. it's a bit difficult to love a spirit I'd imagine. And for a spirit to love in return. But he seems like a lovely man so.. no need to be embarrassed about it.

You know.. maybe you should ask the Potions teacher to have a look at you...

I haven't met him personally, but he SEEMS that way. Not friendly at all. He doesn't socialize.. and I feel like if he did, what he would have to say would be.. disturbing.

Oh he's usually well mannered enough, I haven't caught him being otherwise, but I just get a bad feeling about him. Please be careful.

Thank you for the warning. I'll heed your advice.

So.. you graduated from Hogwarts but just decided that you loved it so much that you had to stay on? Which house were you in, by the way?

Essentially, yes. There are younger members of Hogwarts whom I adore...though Jei has run off to who knows where.

*She expression on her face seems to take on that of a worried mother, her brow furrowed*

I was in Hufflepuff, it really is the best house, I don't care what the others have to say about it.

Ah a girl after my own heart then. *He squeezes her arm* I was in Hufflepuff as well. It was by far the best house. People have no idea.

*she blushes a bit, giving a laugh. He likely notices the odd chill to her skin, or the fact she doesn't seem to be breathing as one might normally.*

We get picked on the most though. Specially our first years. So...what do you do for fun?
