Quasi-trophy wife Laura. Sort of a scary thought. Though in a post-apacolyptic scenario I see that as a considerably worse 'stigma' than secretary of education.

Thanks for reading and commenting! It really is a scary thought to me what her life might have been like if they'd been married. I completely agree that it would be a worse stigma than Secretary of Education...I can just see Bill scoffing and Ellen thinking that they'd be great friends, ha.

Yay, I'm so glad you liked the stories!! And I'm happy you enjoyed the Les Miz reference (I couldn't resist a Broadway title for this one and I think you may be the only other musical theater person I know lurking around the bsg communities hehe).

I'm mildly tempted to continue at least one of them...but that would require actually thinking up some additional plot (and maybe getting my current multi-chapter fic that I've barely started a little further along first). ;D

Haha, I hadn't really planned on continuing - it was more of a momentary inspiration piece - but I'll admit I'm really curious about how she'd adjust to life post-attacks and learn to become her own person again. I feel like this story would want to be an epic if it were continued, so if I can find time to plot out and write and epic (or if I can figure out a way to continue without it having to be 45 chapters) then I'll definitely consider it ;)

Thank you! I love that Laura has the ability to be so bubbly and warm, yet she also has the potential for moments like this.

Thanks! I enjoyed writing a Laura who's not in her right place far more than I expected to...I feel like her character had lots of interesting nuances that left room for stories like this one :)
