Oh my GOD that was absolutely stunning. The use of music, the structure and pacing, the movement of the shots, the buildup...flawless! This is one of my favorite movies of all time and your approach to it was both unusual and beautiful. My favorite parts were the intercut between Brooks and Tommy's deaths and then from 3:48 to 4:04. But the whole thing was gorgeous. Definitely downloading and adding this one to my rec page!

Thank you. The movie is on so many peoples favourite lists. It's a classic! And yet, strangely, nobody is vidding it. Which is very sad. I loved vidding the escape, it was the first part I laid down and it didn't really change in any of the drafts. Brooks was barely in the first draft but I'm so glad I decided to put some of the focus on him.

This is absolutely gorgeous, and SO inspired! I adore the song choice and the musicality so incredibly much, and the transitions are just mind-blowing. Quite an uplifting vid as well. I'll be watching this one a lot more, and I can tell it's one that will reward repeat viewings in many ways.

Although it's one of my favourite movies I hadn't actually seen it for quite a while so it was great to immerse myself in the film again for the purposes of this vid.. Thank you, especially for plugging it to others.

I've been trying to picture this song as a vid for awhile now and I could not place it with any fandom or movie at all! It's such a powerful song and wow, what you did with it is amazing. I love the simplicity of editing. You really let the story tell itself and 'The Shawshank Redemption' has been and will always be one of my favorite movies.

I'm downloading this for later viewing and will be flailing over this on my journal. ♥
