Ooh, I hope we end up seeing something like this. I personally rather love River, but I think it'd be fascinating to get a companion who has some kind of greater role to play, but with a destiny that promotes the bad guys (or at least "bad" relative to the Doctor)...

I do love River, but I don't like how she ended up having her whole entire life and being be about the Doctor. When Ten first met her, she put him on his toes and with Eleven she was his equal, up until TWORS :(

I don't want Clara to necessarily be a tool of evil, but I want her to be part of a bigger picture (that I hope the Moff handles well and not too confusing) and that Clara also stays strong. I'm kind of BLEH about everyone kissing Eleven as soon as they meet him. I get it. He's hot. But women don't HAVE to throw themselves at him.

Like you, I'm not super optimistic about what Moffat will do with her., but I really like this! It's an intriguing take on who Clara could be and what her role will be.

There are SOOOOOO many intriguing tidbits about Clara that I truly truly hope that Moffat will give us something spectacular at the end of all these bread crumbs. I don't want her to be some weak character. Can't he just give us a Whedon-esque like female for once?

I do hope the rest of s7 turns out as intriguing as this drabble (though I'm trying to keep my expectations low). Even as someone who likes River, I did not like her arc in s6.

Ooh, this is SO intriguing. It's a scenario I hadn't imagined, but it really is like River 2.0: the subtle version. Not to kill the Doctor, but to do so much worse and ultimately render him ineffective.

Well done! I'm always impressed when someone can create such a thought-provoking possibility in so few words.
