So Who Watches The Blacklist?

I might have binge-watched the series, indoctrinating Megan into it, and--cough--gotten slightly over the top ga ga about it. I'm sure it'll pass... you know, after the mid-season closer next Thursday when I'm in withdrawal, sniffling and clawing the skin off my flesh... if I'm indeed alone in my momentary hyped-up obsession.

I watch it. I like it, but do not love it. James Spader is amazing, but Elizabeth Keene is too much of a pawn of circumstance. She's competent, not super-competent, and the only reason she's in the position she's in is because Reddington put her there. If he wished her well, he would have chosen much differently, so I can only see his motives as totally selfish.

Also, it drives me nuts that the plot would have been much more intelligent if (trying to avoid spoilers) Elizabeth Keene had recorded and reported one crucial conversation, instead of killing the speaker. Is this supposed to the the flip side of not having killed when Tom insisted it was necessary, and did it on her behalf?
