I don't watch "Bones," but this intrigued me so I did a quick Google search and found this. Which, even if true, seems a bit... disingenuous? Sneaky? Or something.

I like this! I like it a *lot* more than wondering if my TV is trying to train me who to vote for while I'm watching fictional drama, anyway. Which it probably is. Television is fine at communicating human themes and obvious stuff (like great-looking boys and girls), but I sometimes worry about what it might be doing on the side (like, I don't know, pro-life messages, or religious messages--or political messages).

The map of the city (Romney) is in fact what they used; I just checked, and recognized the street names and such. So for now I'll just happily pretend They aren't trying to take over my brain. *g*

Heh, and I guess we can give them the benefit of the doubt that, because it was a real map and wasn't actually subliminal, perhaps it was meant as a joke. I wonder how far in advance it was filmed? If it was way early, it might even have been before Romney won the nomination... but either way, I gather there was a political flavor to the ep, so someone might have thought it was "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" cute. Yes, let's not think about brain takeovers; I've got too few brain cells left to have anyone takeover any of them! :D

Tell me about it!

Recently, I read about a new marketing plan trains are going to do. They plan to pipe subliminal advertisements through the glass windows of the trains--you know, where people lean their heads when they're napping. Sub-audibly, I'll be getting messages like, "Mnn, a nice hot dog would be great right now. They're serving them in the dining car."

Creeps me OUT! *g*
