Merry Christmas to Me

Last year, I came home from the family Christmas gathering to find the SurCon DVDs in my malbox.  I intended to watch just the first DVD, but stayed up quite a few hours to watch the rest.  That was the best part of the holiday, for sure ( Read more... )

These were my exact thoughts when I sat and watched the first two discs over the last couple of days. Being there is amazing, though I wasn't at this one, just 2013, but you miss so much sitting behind them. I also watched the guys more than the vid they were watching.

The whole time I was at the con's all I do was watch David and Paul, but since I was sitting at David's table I couldn't help but watch him the most. Your Christmas sounded amazing. Merry Christmas CF!!

I did that too, Nancy, in 2013. I was lucky because from where I sat, I could see both David and Paul, but you can't see their faces the whole time. The DVD gives that missing viewpoint.

I just got my DVDs two days before Christmas and I keep coming back to the whole Bill Blinn interview and the bits of the boys watching Sweet Revenge. It's my favourite part as well. They really look like they enjoy watching the funny bits of S&H, especially the airtight room and Starsky's "Pick a card" scene- And I love that David reaches for Paul more than once while watching themselves on screen. And at the end of SR they do hold hands for a little while. It was fantastic in June/July to be there and hear all those people talking about S&H (and Bill Blinn essentially says S&H is more or less P&D's relationship and effort and that that made it what it was) but I was dying to watch them watching themselves. Since I was sitting at the back of the room this was the first time I got to see it and it's wonderful.

Oh, does anyone know what the lady behind Paul asked him during the Omaha Tiger scene? To me it looks like if she asked him if he remembers that scene to which Paul shakes his head.
