The late-night radio show host, Deb, with her sensual purr of a voice, drew in a wide variety of nighttime listeners... many of whom had rather odd ideas about the existence of certain supernatural creatures. “Caller three, you’re on with the Deb of Night,” she voiced after answering Autumn’s call. She gave the caller a prompt, because vampires and food hadn’t been brought up by any prior caller. “So, what are you thoughts on garlic repelling the savage beast?”
If it did, with the amount of Italian eateries she frequented, she sure all heck didn’t have anything to worry about -- even if she did believe in vampires, which she of course did not. Some part of her really hoped the caller wouldn't put any stock in the whole garlic idea; she could only imagine Devin decorating his apartment with bunches of garlic.

Autumn resisted the urge to groan. Where exactly had that awful superstition even come from?
"The only thing garlic will repel is a date." She informed The Deb Of Night matter of factly. "In fact all of those old wives tales about churches and garlic and crosses are absolute crap."
"Not all of them..." Isaac muttered subvocally and a slight roll of his eyes.

She shifted in her chair to get more comfortable, and reached over to grab for her cup of coffee. “So, caller, are you speaking as a skeptic, or as someone who knows the ‘truth’ about real vampires?”
