(ooc: A warning... this may get long RP-wise. This is a major plot point that actually happened in our girls' past. We've never played it out before and this is our chance. As you saw from the zoo thread.. 2 people.. can RP ALOT. :) Oz or Tin Man muses feel free to jump in.. but this is set in the Zone, what we call Celcia, in the mid-2350's. Far

She'd already banned him to the hallway, and it was easier to keep an eye out for El, who had gone out to get an update on the damage. The muffled cries from the other side of the door got his attention and Trey stiffened as the orderlies helped pull Dree back up to a standing position.
"Damnit, Aud," he cursed under his breath. She was going to do more damage trying to recover than the initial injury caused, at this rate.

He knew El didn't want to tell her, and he didn't, either. But he also could see that if they didn't take her out, she'd take herself. Ten years living with the woman, he had kept his eyes open. "How 'bout I ask Chapel if we can stay at her place for a few days? Get you out of here and into some quiet. It's not like she's home, anyway."
What Dree needed, he knew, was a softer bed and a hot bath. Thankfully, Chapel's bathroom was equipped with a sauna tub, to ease her own muscles after long shifts at the hospital. If they could get her to relax, it might help speed her recovery.

"I can talk to Chapel later if you want. You know she has a ton of room."

Of course, the logical part of her brain was telling her that they weren't saying anything because all of them know she couldn't handle it. Well, they thought she couldn't handle it. And that made her angry. Where did everyone else get off deciding for her? Shouldn't she be allowed to decide what she could and couldn't handle. It wasn't like she was going to crumple like a rag doll.
A moment later, Dree laughed. She had just crumpled like a rag doll, and that was simply from walking back and forth a few times. They knew her better than she did, apparently.

"No," Dree snapped. "I want to go home. Now." She needed to make sure the box was safe. She'd heard someone talking about looting as they passed the open doorway. Her life was in that box. There were things, secrets...
"Hey," Trey snapped back, raising an eyebrow until she looked at him. "No. I've already been there and grabbed the important stuff." He took a breath and nodded, "It's locked up, safe, at Chapel's." Trey gave her a look and reached for her hand. "I promise you, Aud, it's safe."

After Trey assured Dree, she followed, "that was the first thing we grabbed, baby. It's safe." A few extra dents were in it, but the box itself was safe. She ahd wanted to open it to check the contents, but she knew that would have been the worst invasion of privacy. So she didn't. But she payed the contents were safe and unbroken, if there were any breakables.

"I went too far, Chap. It's that simple." Dree reached up for the railing and tried to pull herself up, but her shoulders fought back.
Trey looked at El and shook his head. The mood swings, he prayed, were due the medication. As Chapel waved the orderlies back over, Trey pulled El up and held her close. "Love you," he whispered, suddenly feeling the urge to make sure she knew.

She let trey lead her away so Chapel could get to Dree and get her off the floor. "Can we possibly go," gives her a look, "home in the next day or so? 'dora would really like to be him." Gives her a slight shake that they hadn't told her yet.

At El's mumble, Chapel rolled her eyes and gave her a dirty look. "None of you are in any state for that, thanks."
"Oh, come on, Doc," Trey grinned. "It's just a broken leg." He glanced at El and winked. Chapel scoffed and gave Dree a quick check before the orderlies hauled her up into the padded wheelchair.
Dree hissed and gritted her teeth as they sat her down. "I need a drink."
Chapel laughed and pressed a kiss to Dree's forehead. "You can have all the water you want, love."
