As she looked over the food available to her, K’tanya wrinkled her delicate nose in a fashion that only served to make her that much more adorable. Which was difficult to do considering how adorable she was already, but somehow she managed.
"I don’t like grilled food. It all tastes burnt to me. Isn’t there anything else? A Caesar salad, or some steamed chicken, or something?"
The manager of the BBQ restaurant wasn’t going to make an exception for one girl with no taste, until he saw the soft pout on her perfect features.
For as long as people could remember, there had been someone at St. Julien’s named Darius. Most were certain that there was simply a new man who was trained under the old, and who eventually took his place, keeping the tradition in place as it had been for centuries.
Some however thought differently. Some believed that the same man had always been at the church, and that he was touched somehow by God to watch over her and her people.
Regardless of what was believed however, they all loved him for what he had always been to them, a friend.
Frank and Kit decided to take a nice weekend vacation to Niagara Falls. Neither of them had ever been there and they both needed a little time away.
The falls were lovely, but Frank insisted in getting a closer look down on the Hurricane Deck.
It was surprisingly ten times cooler there, than at the top deck looking over. It was also ten times wetter and they had to put on rain gear to be that close to the falls.
Frank had to admit that they looked pretty cute in their see-through yellow rain coats.
Prompt #69 ~ Picture of Return to Sender on envelope (27 of 100)boxofcomfitsAugust 4 2010, 01:01:19 UTC
Sometimes Alice wondered if her dear friends ever wondered what had happened to her. Did they miss her as she did them?
She hoped they didn't think she had abandoned them (by deciding never to return). Of course she hadn't-did they really think she would have helped plan that splendid multi-unbirthday party and then break her promise to attend?
And she had tried to return-many times, even! It wasn't Alice's fault none of the looking-glasses would work.
Alice considered writing her friends to explain all this, but realised she hadn't the foggiest idea how to address the envelope.

Earlier in the summer, Alice had decided to retest the Deanery's looking-glasses (again). This afternoon, her choice was the somewhat small specimen in her father's study. (And the little abandoned cabinet nearby that worked several times in the past.)
Attempting not to disrupt anything on the cabinet, she tried the glass, carefully observing.
Alice contemplated the wisdom of shouting at the looking-glass-surely someone would be listening ... wouldn't they? (Father was at the College, of course; Mother and Lorina were on some errand, she thought.)
"I want to go back!!"
Hopefully, the message was received. (The looking-glass did not respond.)
Eva and Agnes Templesmith. Alice is grateful the two sisters of a certain age invited her to their table when she stopped at a teashop to ask for directions.
She had found herself hopelessly lost in an unfamiliar part of London-on a visit to Town to shop for hats (Mrs Avery has since become Alice's favourite milliner-in England, at least), Alice had somehow wandered off and ended up here with no memory of the past hour.
Over tea and scones, the Templesmiths calmed Alice and directed her back to the millinery shop.

{{A/N: More of wee!Alice! ^_^ Also, the quotes are taken nearly directly from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.}}
What was it that Cat had said? "It depends a good deal on where you want to get to" and "you're sure to do that if you only walk long enough" when she'd replied she just wanted to go somewhere.
"Horrid directions," thought Alice crossly. At this rate, she'd never find that lovely garden again (oh, why hadn't she thought to ask the Cheshire-Cat the way?). Perhaps she might be invited to the Queen's croquet game instead? After all, the Cat did know the Duchess.
Presently, though, she would visit the March Hare.

(She still doesn't know what happened.)

Oh, the table was set for tea!
