#22 Storm

Light softly tumbled across her face, lighting up those deep green eyes. Her skin soft and delicious. Badru had been staring at her all night. She was at the bar alone, slowly stirring her drink. He sauntered up to her, grinning ear to ear. His voice rumbled like distant thunder.

"May I buy you a drink?"

She simply nodded, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Badrur slid a drink her way. His fingers brushed gently against hers. In that single touch he knew she would be his. He would storm her heart, claiming it for his own.

Drabble 8, prompt 17 - Kindness

She’s having a hard time separating the boy sitting in the gazebo alone from the man who brought her to the island and trapped her here. She’s conflicted because he’s clearly upset, and she shouldn’t be this afraid of a little boy.

She knows his father is hard on him. She knows he hates it here. Juliet can’t help but think that his father has turned his son into the man he is, someone who grasps for power and manipulates until he has it. She closes her eyes for a second before walking forward.

She smiles weakly. "Hey there, Benjamin."
