Marilyn and I went to the 7:00 p.m. Meeting at City Hall here in Seaside, Oregon. There were discussing and voting on the expansion of the LDS parking lot. It means losing the trees directly across the street from our house, I'm afraid. (Too bad ( Read more... )

How great that you were able to be there, during a time that something was being decided about your new home. And to see the players in action a bit.

Yeah, it was interesting! We both enjoyed it. We wanted to be there, so we planned in advance to do an extended weekend so we could be.

It was fascinating to watch the dynamics of the people, by the way. And a neighbor -- an interesting young man -- spoke on behalf of trying to save trees. He was impressive!
