What was Hawaii like? I've always wanted to go there.

We had an amazing time, but it was so long ago -- and we were very different people then. So I imagine Hawaii has changed, just like we have.

Plus if we were to go now, we'd do different things. We went to a disco while we were there (!!!) and to clubs and were chased by men (literally at one point) and were picked up and my, my, my... We were so young. And we had limited $$$ then, so a trip today would be quite a change. (Not that we're rich now, but we were pretty poor then...)

The sand is very different from here at home, which was a huge surprise! It's not just beaches everywhere -- it's HOTELS everywhere. You have to work your way to the beach. (It put us off at first, until we got used to the idea...)

Food was expensive, so Vegas beats it for most forms of entertainment that are not about sand and water... (Which is why we've been to Hawaii once and Vegas countless times!) Overall the costs are pretty high for everything, including flying there.

Still, it's worth going at least once, if you get a chance...
