Back Home from The Dalles, Oregon...

Sister Sue is at her cribbage tournament right now, so feeling well enough not to stay home. (She also went to her weekly cribbage for the first time in weeks last night, after going to the doctor yesterday morning.)

Marilyn and I drove up the Columbia River Gorge (always a fantastic, scenic drive) to The Dalles, Oregon to have dinner at Spooky'sRead more... )

Spooky's always a fun place to go. We will drive up that way on Tuesday going to Sunnyside. Jack was nice last night saying that besides Mills, Dot, me, he would also let Tammy stay at his daughters next door. Tammy wants to go very bad, but could not afford a motel for all of that time.

I love the cribbage people for being nice to each other and sharing expenses that way. This week Jack and Mills are staying at Dots.

Enjoy the weekend and I hope to do well today. So nice to see all of my friends and everyone is concerned about my health.

That's okay... I'm planning on not seeing HP in the movie theaters for another few weeks because I can't stand crowds, especially the unruly ones that show up during the first couple of weeks. =/ Better yet would be when it comes out at the Laurelhurst Theater (admission is only $4 per movie!), where I can enjoy it with a slice of Puttanesca pizza from Pizzicato, and maybe a small glass of red wine, at a seat that has a table. <3

I really hope that the nice weather stays put for a while. This whole year has been really depressing and gloomy, even for Portland. =( I read that it has to do with the effects of La Nina, and that the current is set to arrive back this fall... so not looking forward to that. =(

I didn't know about the situation in Norway, but what you've said about it here sounds just awful! :o
