Well I should have known that candles do not always work and maybe not being a Catholic makes it worse. So sorry about the pouring rain tonight. The girls came home very early soaked to the skin. I am so glad that you got to ride that first ride on Vertigo. I am sure I could not do it. Good that the ribbon cutting was dry.

Get some rest and there is lots more to come.

I like to thing those candles DID help, Sue! We were dry while we rode Vertigo and we were dry during the ribbon cutting, too -- and it was POURING much of the rest of the time. So...

Sorry the girls didn't stay. I feel bad that we missed the fireworks this year, which were supposed to be the most awesome display ever in this part of the country! (And Jeff had made them add two songs just for Marilyn and me, so he was disappointed...)

I'm glad we got the rest, though -- we both needed it.

I'm still feeling POSITIVE and EXCITED! Things are good in spite of the weather.

Well, dry for BOTH the Vertigo ride and the ribbon cutting is pretty cool, really -- considering the pouring rain otherwise all day...

So I'm feeling okay about it! Look at the world's problems. Things could be better, but they could be a lot less good, too...

Thanks much for the good thoughts!!! I'm hold 'em close. We NEED some dry time (and maybe a touch of SUN, too).

Glad the big ribbon cutting event was a dry one;I tell ya,that rain sometimes comes at the most inopportune moments but I'm glad it's not dampening the spirit of the festival! ♥
