Amazing Day Visiting SMC and CTGR

May 24, 2011 23:03

Today was our trip to Spirit Mountain Casino and to visit the Confederated Tribes of Grand RondeBut Marilyn and I started the day getting up early so she could go to her appointment at the clinic at 7:30 a.m. Her doctor is away, so she saw a nurse practitioner. The lab results were inconclusive, but she's on antibiotics and a muscle relaxant. ( Read more... )

I saw on the news about the ride and finally being released to come here. The press has been so good this year on everything about the Rose Festival. It all seems positive also.

I hate that poor Marilyn is feeling terrible and hurting so bad. I also need to get in to the doctor, but hope to wait until Dr. Young is back. Any time that I see someone else they mess up my balance with food, drugs etc. since my surgery. I did go in and they filled out three prescriptions that I was out of, but when I got home the doctor had not signed two of them, so now need to go back out there again. I was pretty upset since it is clear out on 122nd.

Well your experience at Spirit Mountain sounded so wonderful. It is great that they let you experience so much with the Indians.

Wayne did beat me today, so no money from the long match for me. Nancy went out yesterday and Dot is now the only woman still standing.

Sadly with the schedule, she probably will not be well till after it is all done :(

Hope she gets less pain though.

Rest sounds like a good day and how fun to have the bracelet.

love

Yeah, it's brutal to have to suffer when we have so much to do. (sigh)

But I keep hoping the meds will help. (fingers crossed)

I need to post a photo of the bracelet!

Ack! I hope Marilyn feels better soon and gets a lot of rest in the meantime! :<

Also, glad to hear you had a great time at Spirit Mountain! :D I've never been but have wanted to, and it sounds like a lot of fun there! :D

(Also, I had been wondering from your pictures if you might have at least some Native American in your background, so that's pretty neat to know! :D Supposedly, I myself have a small fraction of Comanche in my background, and some people say they can see it because of my facial structure.)

Sweetie, would you like bracelets to ride the rides on Friday night? It runs 5:00 - 8:00 and is good for unlimited rides. I could get you a few if you like...

The fair skin comes from Mom's side -- we're totally Swedes on that side! (Which was also one of Mom's nicknames... smile...)

Ooooh! Sounds very tempting, and I haven't been on any rides in ages, but I would definitely have to pass for this weekend, sorry. =( Next weekend might be a different story, however, if you've got any for then. :D Thanks so much for the offer, though; that is very sweet of you! <3 *HUGS*

*Nodnod!* My immediate family is more of a mix, which includes some Swedish, but a lot of German and Irish on both sides. (Heh! Your Mom was a striking blue-eyed blonde, I take it? :D )
