I submitted three stories via online submission (actually the EASIEST way to submit, by the way) to the
Writer's Digest Annual Writing Competition.
Even though it was easy to do the submission, I was a tad stressed. I did some tweaking of the three stories I'd decided to enter (taking a break away from working on the parade script), then sent them off via cyber submission (the ONLY way to fly).
There are 100 'winners' per category, which is kind of cool. Of course, they got more than 17,000 submissions last year. There's one Grand Prize Winner who gets the amazing package. But I think it would be great fun to be among the 100 in a category, personally.
Okay, for the record, I don't have my fingers crossed to win, period. But I see no reason not to submit my work. You can't do anything if you won't put yourself out there, after all...
Well, back to my PAID writing gig! (heh)
