Our Camellia Bush Felled by Wind

I am wondering, did the bush get saved?? I am sure it did, as the roots were all pretty much intact there. I would like to share with camellia bush lovers out there about the most beautiful bush on our road, flowering early this year due to the mild weather we have been experiencing in Britain. A very large wild unpruned bush it was, but spectacular in all its glory, until that is just the other day. Imagine my shock and horror at seeing the poor bush riding high on a loaded skip.... I rushed over thinking surely this person who has done this has taken our the root ball too ...... surely they are going to send it on to somebody - only to see that the poor bush had been hacked down, sabotaged in fact. Approx 1ft was left protruding out of the ground, I could only console myself with the fact that maybe, just maybe, this beauty may rise again despite its unfortunate, cruel and harsh treatment by the house's new owner. Meanwhile all my heart could do was weep. (sorry for anonymous posts)
