I'm kind of on the fence about feeding a wild animal. A coyote WILL eat cats and small dogs and I would be more in favour of trapping and relocating him/her if need be. Also, a wild animal is just that and needs to retain his own food-getting instincts but in a safer place for the domestic animals. We have friends in England who feed a fox every day and while foxes are much smaller than coyotes and hunt rabbits and smaller animals, it still makes me nervous that they think it's cute that their cats eat alongside the fox.
