Well, a little more morbid was that I thought she'd accidentally killed Konstantin, thinking he was someone else. (though that would have been a bit far fetched.) I'm glad she managed to kill Ace.

that said, oh god this fic. This fucking fic (and I mean that as affectionatly as possible). Thalia warned me about this in spades before I got it as my SS, so I thought I was prepared, but DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. Good lords and ladies, you broke my heart and put a match to the remains.

To be totally honest with you, I don't think this would have worked if it were "romanticized." That sort of...er, method, tends to make the whole thing either laughable, annoying, or really, really insensitive to the realities of the situation. The down-to-earth roughness of the narrative really made it shine in a way that I can't even begin to put words to. I am totally, completely in awe of you, m'dear. <3

I'll go ahead and say it, this was one of, if not my favorite fic to come out of ficathon. Seriously, as an author you bring the reader into this dark place and its completely believable. My little brain can't even conceive of anything on this level and you've totally owned this horrible world they exist in.

Seriously - bravo!!!

Definitely one of the Ficathon fics that stood out most in my mind and not just because it was so, so tragic! Overall, everything was so well done and not overly melodramatic or anything like that, which I think would have been all too easy to slide into ( ... )
