Wow, very poignant and touching. I liked the transitions with the shuffling, and how Rei's responses changed over time, too. And then, of course, the contrast with the silence.

GODdamn. Now I am sad. Isn't it such human nature that we miss the little things about someone who's passed that we used to get annoyed by. I'm seriously holding back tears because everyone has some way to relate to this.

And I love how patient her grandfather is, and tries to be quieter and apologizes. It reminds me of my grandpa. I'm going to go call him now.

Also, this was one of the best "interpretation of a theme" fics I have seen yet. It's just completely on task and PERFECT. Way to go, Charlie. Fucking...ungh.

Now I need Britfic antidote...stat.
