Ah yes, I remember that French interview, and being impressed by Tom Hardy as well. I will say that JGL's French is surprisingly good as well--especially for an American (I have very low expectations for the second language competence of my fellow Americans, alas) but yes, Tom totally blew JGL out of the water in his own charming way. :)

I love a man who can speak French! Even better if they ARE French. Heh. I love that JGL loves everything French. I was very impressed with him doing Jacques Brel, for one. :)

I completely expected Joe to have something to say about French cinema, but I didn't expect Tom to be quite THAT knowledgable on the subject. He's full of surprises. It's awesome.

It's just so wonderfully unexpected. I love people who are that complex, they make me want to know more. :)
