Last weekend I finally succumbed to the necessity of clearing the barn and porch of several months' accumulated trash. OW!! Damn and blast! That's rotten, Charles. Please take care & heal well. Last winter I did exactly what you did, loading stuff into the side of my van for a holiday art show--but was lucky enough to catch myself before doing the ribcage slam--just bashed my knees hard on the ground, etc. Was lucky the side of my van was NOT as high off the ground as the back of your pickup. Hugs to you, and hopes for easy breathing SOON.

The whole thing sounds like a day in hell.

It never ceases to amaze me how a series of events based on a distant decision made long ago has cascading impact in our lives
