Yep.

Da Boss has hinted very broadly that if I keep on keepin' on and avoid screwing the pooch, I'll be promotable before year's end.

Hope to be down your way the week before Memorial Day; I know at least three Speakeasies will be there.... apparently we impressed the heck out of some folks down there, and they're giving us some classes....

At the time, my manager told me this particular customer was rarely— if ever— complimentary to our support team. He was quite impressed with their comments.

Coincidentally I am about to write similar note for one of my tech support guy who did a major save for me while I was bearing down into a critical deadline and my system went into near meltdown.

He is competently awesome but also not condescending like most of his colleagues. In fact I will steal the line from your customer about asking to please save this note or when his next review comes up.

I have to confess that when I was wrapping up the case with the customer, and they were being effusive in their praise to me, I suggested they might write my manager to share that praise with him.

Apparently, they did.

Having a customer— whether external or internal— share their positive experience with a technician's manager is a Good Thing™ all around.
