Thanks to dental insurance and a helpful local dentist, my tooth went from consistently sore and painful to non-bothersome. I can eat cold/sweet things again ( Read more... )

That is really sad. That is so sad, I can't think of an analogy for it that doesn't sound like I'm being a sarcastic dick. "It's like Spiderman being done-in by a poisoned Hostess fruit-pie." See, that's how sad it is.

I stopped drinking soda for a couple of years and now I can only have a little sip of it because the sugar makes me feel all gunky inside otherwise. HELLO GETTING OLD

I never went back to gum after I had braces, and I don't really enjoy sugar drinks anymore now that I like coffee and beer so much. (This is not to say that I don't eat food with tremendous amounts of sugar in it.) And soda:beer::Snapple:unsweetened tea, so maybe you'll be into that now?

I actually drink plenty of actual, real hot tea of all the sundry varieties, and I've been known to drink regular, straight-up iced tea at times. So I'm sure none of that will change. It's just weird to be finding myself distant from my previously-constant signature beverage.
