Other than the fact that Poof unthinkedly groomed Arath, you know what my favourite part is? The fact that Poof knows all about parents. Our Poof, who was sad and sick and alone on the streets, is so comfortable now that he can be embarrassed by parents.
Poof has come a long way in his family situation from that poor stray kitten on the street. I almost forgot that part writing this, thank goodness my subconscious remembers. Thank you *smiles* for reminding my conscious mind and yes it works like that for me writing.
Ah but Malakishel is making a comparison in the lecture between two different combinations of Wizard & magical being bondings. Demons and Familiars are both magical beings. He's explaining in the Familiar Studies lecture about bondings with emphasis on how a Wizard and a Demon bonding works since that is what he is most familiar *groans at unintentional pun* with. Wizard-Familiar bonding is something he only knows from perhaps interaction with some of his consort's (Arath's as yet unnamed Dad's) friends.
To my knowledge *Innocent look* there's never been a Demon-Familiar bonding before. If Arath and Poof do bond *more innocent look* then this will be as close as it's ever been to that combination, Arath being a Demon-Wizard cross. It has possibility to be a very powerful partnership.
*grins* Maybe. First they have to get to the crossing of genes and if Poof and Arath live on the Demon Plane the Demons might insist that their children stay to protect them and the Human Plane.
