I am not a Spanish speaker/reader but I've picked up just enough to be dangerous.

Caldo de Albondigas Con Fideos

Ingredients
200 g de fido (small short stick type noodles)
Cilantro picado
2 liters water

*grins* Yes,my hobby too. The recipes in and of themselves do not incur any weight gain... unless you make them and then eat them.

you know you are completely right about that. :) now question...this recipe has Spanish measurements...if i went to a converter would it show me american measurement?

The ground beef you shouldn't have any problem using a converter, weight is weight. You might have to go to the deli section or an honest to God butcher to get the exact amount instead of hunting through the packages.

The pasta... most packaging now has the weight in oz and might in grams hmmmm

The water is easy. Remember that it uses the decimal system and a lot of bottles have oz and liter measurements. *laughs* I can tell you right now that 20 fl.oz = 591 mL. (I've a bottle I'm drinking from beside me)

Remember though that cooking is closer to alchemy than chemistry. Exact amounts aren't necessary to prevent disastrous results.
