A momentary lapse of silence

There has been little I've had to say lately, and part of that I suppose comes from the dullness of the routine - the back and forth a million times a day driving kids and husband and mother to where they need to go. I'm always wondering what it's going to be like when my daughter hits that age. She's such a perfect kid now, and we're very close. But I was "perfect" as a little kid too, and a screaming nightmare of a teenager, especially with my mom, so I suspect I'm in for a wild ride.

*prays for her*
It's not easy, seeing your child lying there so helpless to stop what is happening to her. I completely empathize. Bryanna was only a few months old the first time that she had a seizure. We've been lucky that our daughter has been seizure-free and off meds for about five years. With puberty hitting, though, I'm keeping a close eye on her since she used to have "staring spells" as well as convulsions. (Most of my friends who have epilepsy noted an increase in seizure activity during their teen years.)

If you have any questions, or just need someone to understand what your family is going through, don't hesitate to email me, okay?

*many tight hugs*

I hope that everything turns out fine and that it was a one time thing for her. Please let me know if there's anything I could do to help you guys out.

Bear in mind that childhood epilepsy at least usually DID go away (hopefully still does) by 18. Sucks to have it. So I identify with her & you.
