It does seem like something Monty Python would write. Only then it would be more amusing, because I'm not laughing about her possibly being one heart beat away from president.
Only someone WITH a brain, and is reasonably certain that other people (including most Americans) have brains, would NOT be able to understand why it is that most Americans buy into one thing or another that politicians say. Also John Cleese is an actor, and thus would be much better equipped to see when someone is just reading a script, or being a parrot. You can’t really blame Americans for being coddled into ignorance by our unhealthy, bloated standard of living. People become complacent when they need for nothing.
