Requiem
(for Lou)

We sat down on the porch,
And I watched him sway,
On the old wooden swing,
On a warm summer's day.

He looked out with tired eyes,
And lit a up a funny old smoke,
He took a big puff and inhaled,
Took it down, offered me a toke.

I've never ever cried from a poem. I've cried from stories, movies, songs.. but never once a poem for whatever reason. This poem, though, had me crying big time. So, be proud of it, hehe.
