Bother, bother, bother!

The altercation between my car and a concrete pylon looks like it is going to cost me between two and a half and three thousand dollars and it will take about ten days to repair the damage to the car. Damn!

things of woe, rl

Well, this one is completely and utterly my own damn fault - I'm pretty sure that the concrete pylon wasn't moving when I hit it. But I may need chocolate to recover from the repair quote.

Thanks for the hugs!

I'm fine. I was trying to park and so it was a slow, drawn-out, screeching connection that happened between the car and the pylon. Embarrassing and expensive but not dangerous in any way.

Well, that's good at least.

Darn that swift-moving concrete! Glad you're alright... at least I hope you're alright?

I'm fine. My poor car is not. I am a bad car-owner and Dean would be very displeased with me and never let me near the Impala.

I still blame the concrete for jumping out at you like that. Are you sure it was a pylon and not a Blink-creature in disguise? ;-)

Good point. Who am I to assume that concrete doesn't move when sci-fi says otherwise?

$$ *ouch* O_o

Excuse the icon use. The evil pat of my mind is cackling away and it really shouldn't be.

I didn't look like the icon when it happened, but I think that's definitely what was happening in my head.

*hugs* Is your car feeling any better yet?

I'm about to lock my dastardly ranting post, so um, feel free to get back to me on the convention or whatever on another post.

Ouch. It's bad enough to have pylons leap out at you when you're not expecting it, without adding insult to injury with a cost like that. *sends sympathy*

Thanks. I think the Doctor should get on to the issue of moving pylons. I suspect they're really some form of evil alien hiding in plain sight.
