Demand better

M&Ms are so quotidian. Henry finally potty trained for no less than Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares. Now Edward demands the Dumon chocolates that we brought back from Bruges. All that's left is mostly white chocolate anyway, so I don't mind sharing.

My boys have taste. But nobody's touching my Wittamer...

I'm so proud! And so worried about my wallet! Oh wait, their favorite food is Kraft dinner. Maybe not.

Better not expose them to Savory Toasted Cheese, then. I can just picture Eddie critiquing the Brie.

I don't remember Dumon from our trip to Bruges... but there's a chocolatier on every corner, so we might well have missed one.

Anyway, for Wittamer, he'd better do a lot more than just inform you that he needs to go... do you have any major plumbing repairs you could assign him?

Dumon is in a little shop half in a basement, about a block off of the square. Probably not the best chocolate in Belgium, but darn good, and cheaper than the others. Plus, Madame Dumon kept feeding me truffles as she packed my order. Mmmm. And she sent some chocolate lollipop bears for the boys, when she heard I had kids.

I had her pack boxes for my dad and grandma specifically, and just went for a pre-packed box myself. It was good, but I should have had our own packed with mostly darks and only one or two whites.

But that's what I was thinking. For a Wittamer, he's got to become 100% potty trained overnight, plus start filling out his college applications. And maybe mow the lawn. Oh wait, he'd like that...

Damn skippy!

Waitaminute--you still have Wittamer left over? Hmmm, when's the next time you'll be hosting a meeting? :->

I'm not sure "left over" is the term. Carefully hoarded, hidden from myself, doled out morsel by morsel.

But yes, I did bring it out very late at night after the last meeting, when most people had left and there were a few of us tearing the heads off of bottles of rum...

*laugh*
Mine were so plebian... 3 "tart & tiny" if they told me they need to use the potty and 2 more if they really did anything once there...

I'm so glad I didn't introduce them to the good stuff that young!

Ah, but M&M's have been recently advertising personalized candies: all the usual colors, with the logo or word or photo of your choosing on one side. Perhaps you could get a bag with each boy's face. Or a line drawing of a toilet. Or their favorite toy. Or a smiley face....

(Jeez, talk about modern technology - personalized mass-produced M&M's!)
