thanks to everyone for the feedback. while the scanner seems to be working (it's hit or miss as to whether it will work on any given day) i figured i'd scan in some older stuff for posterity, so here is some of it

i don't really understand how to do the crosshatch kind of shading but if i scribble enough it seems to work!
