Rules:
-Icons must be made specifically for this challenge, no prior work may be accepted.
-Icons must be your own; as in no stealing other people's work.
-If your icons contain nudity or excessive violence, please warn for it!
-All icons must fit the LJ standard - under 40kb, 100x100px and in either .png, .gif, or .jpg file format.
-NO ANIMATED ICONS ARE ALLOWED!
-When posting your finished 20 please leave 3 icons as examples, not a banner, and a link to the icon post (It can be in your journal or you can post them directly here. It's entirely up to you.)
-Do not submit your icons to this post!
-Make sure you have finished all your icons before posting. Any icons posted after the deadline will not be accepted.
-If you choose to post your icons to your own community/journal, please make sure the entry is not locked so we do not have to friend you to view your work.
-All entries are moderated.
-Please use the provided table when posting your icons (you can change the colours if you want)
-Do not tag your posts. A mod will do that for you.
-Please add a subject to your entries: Round #Roundnumber - Tasting

ROUND 7 INFO (THEMES!)
there are examples or specific information under each category; there is a LOT of information below, so make sure you read all of the information!
Round Seven will be comprised of TASTE categories. All of your icons must fall under the broad category of taste. By this we mean, there are four sections of five icons each, and each section is headed by a particular part of our sense of taste. Each taste is vastly different, and so each category has been broken up into kinds of icons that can be made by representations of tastes.
For this round, you will be allowed to icon any character that you like from any television show or film as long as it first aired after December 1989. Your icons need to be comprised of different characters, instead of just one but the majority of your icons will be of a single character, unless specified. What this means is that pairings or ships are only allowed for a small percentage of your icons.
The taste categories are as follows:
THE SUGARY SWEET
icons that represent the taste for sweet; as in sugar like cake, cookies, donuts, juice, fruit, etc.
Acceptable Colors: pinks, purples, white, indigo, light browns, violet, light yellow
Acceptable Tv/Film Genre/Styles: romantic comedies, romantic dramas, fantasy romance, fantasy genre, lgbtqiap romance.
Human Range: Pairings, Ships, Romance Poses, Romantic Gestures, Light, Bright Eyes, Happy Faces
Fandom Examples: He's Just Not That Into You; New Girl; The Twilight Saga; Once Upon a Time; But I’m a Cheerleader.
THE SPICED SPICY
icons that represent the taste for spice or spiciness; as in cinnamon, clove, pepper, chile, etc.
Acceptable Colors: reds, oranges, yellows, middle browns, magenta.
Acceptable Tv/Film Genre/Styles: period piece, horror/suspense, dark fantasy, quirky comedy, indie.
Human Range: Costumes, Surprised Faces, Inner Darkness, Expressions of Haunted, Confuses, Longing.
Character Examples: Ned Kynaston (Stage Beauty); Katniss Everdeen (Catching Fire); Nick Burkhardt (Grimm); Lt. Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hallow); Georgia “George” Lass (Dead Like Me); Solomon Northup (12 Years a Slave).
THE SOURED SOURNESS
icons that represent the taste for sour; like citric acid, limes, lemons, sour-candy, or soured milk, etc.
Acceptable Colors: greens, yellows, bright oranges, cyan, bright blues.
Acceptable Tv/Film Genre/Styles: action & adventure, legend fantasy, science fiction, family dramas.
Human Range: Expressions of Sour, Fairly Funny Expressions, Blurred Faces, Furrowed Brow, Quirked Lips.
Fandom Examples: Merlin; Xena: Warrior Princess; Game of Thrones; Doctor Who; Star Trek.
THE BITTER BITTERED
icons that represent the taste for bitter; like the pith of a orange, when you over-salt something, the rind of an avocado, dark chocolate, etc.
Acceptable Colors: blacks, black & white, grays, sepia, blue on exclusion, dark browns.
Acceptable Tv/Film Genre/Styles: gritty dramas, crime, historical, mystery, action dramas.
Human Range: Expressions of Angst, Bitter, Cautious, Broken, Broken-Hearted, Smirk.
Character Examples: Fitzgerald Grant (Scandal); Severus Snape (Harry Potter); John Watson (Sherlock);
Lady Edith Crawley (Downton Abbey).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All of your icons need to be color-themed and genre specific to the taste in question, that's why I've provided you with both in terms of what is acceptable. It is up to you to determine which tv shows and/or films you icon. If you need examples, or further explanations, please let me know. I am happy to provide additional info at any time.
