lol this is such a late comment but I just watched Downton Abbey last month (and rewatched over and over again ever since) and thought nobody on my f-list watched it until I saw your comment on other person's LJ reaction to Downton and got giddy!
ANNA/BATES ARE MADE OF SO. MUCH. WIN. That pairing snuck up on me because I was not paying much attention to it in the first couple of episodes and then suddenly BAM! ultra sweet tray-with-flowers scene. Anna is just awesome and brave and Bates has his talking like this voice and they really need to make out soon.
yay another Downton fan!!!! (I feel we may be one of a few that watch it.)
The flower/tray scene was perfect. I also loved the foreshadowing in the first episode when Bates is crying in his room & Anna takes him food but waits outside & looks all heartbroken for him.....I cannot wait for this to develop next season ♥
