Parks and Recreation was a disappointment, not even Elizabeth Mitchell could save V, Flashforward was cancelled and I just don't get the whole Glee thing (absolutely no disrespect to those who do...I'm happy for you!). I ( Read more... )

Sounds like a poor line up of shows this year. Community sounds orright, but I might give Good Wife a go when it builds up a coupla series (or 6)

Have you ever watched United States of Tara? What about Spartacus? They are on my post-LOST agenda.

Have finished S 5 of LOST and loved it. Totes shipping James/Juliet, bb. Oh, and Ben/Locke in a slash-like way. And Woody/Buzz in Toy story 3 universe, fyi.

Seriously J/J were gorgeous in S 5. I was a Kate/Sawyer LOVAH, as ya know, but it's the JJs for me from S 5. Yet to decide in 6. We're a third of the way through.

What a relief that I can come out to you as a J/J shipper. I never shipped Sawyer/Kate, but more than that, I never really got the appeal of Sawyer at all for the first four seasons. I can see that he's handsome and all, I mean, I'VE GOT EYES, but the whole redneck badboy heart of gold thing just left me cold. Then the scene in the helicopter happened...where S. jumps off to save Jack and Kate and the rest. You see Juliet on the beach with her Dharma rum, and sudddenly Sawyer comes trudging out of the waves and says "Nice day for a swim", or something like that. He's soaked, of course, and all dimples and smiles and he's just freaking adorable. Suddenly I saw them together and for the first time had this response like *WHAM* - OMG JULIET AND SAWYER TOGETHER HOW DID I NEVER EVER SEE THIS BEFORE ( ... )

I just love Juliet, so much. Elizabeth Mitchell has given lovely insightful interviews about her as well. I especially like a comment she made about Juliet having so much repressed rage and how she, Elizabeth, played her that way. Hey doll. Yeah, Juliet is wonderfully repressed. I think when her background story focused on the work she was doing for her sister, and then the despair she felt being trapped on the island and unable to return to her, you could almost feel her pain. Although, she's so calm on the surface, there's snippets of cracks ( ... )

Oh, and BTW, did you notice the woman wot played Juliet's sister in S 3 played Calamity Jane Cannary in the Beloved Deadwood (Robin Weigert) which HBO culled, bastards!

She was amazing in DW.

Well, as I said I LIKE Community. I think it definitely got better as the season progressed. It's very character driven, and they needed to find their "voice". I'm not even a person who enjoys sit-coms that much, but this makes me laugh. I don't know if I would go to the trouble of downloading, though!

Awww, I miss Lost. The last season I would usually watch each episode twice. I'd watch the broadcast, and follow the live blogs while I did that. Then a couple days later I'd rewatch with the Hubby, which was good because I'd have had a bit of time to think about what happened, and could pick up on some things I missed the first time through. I don't know when or if I'll ever find a show that warrants that kind of devotion again, LOL. Of course I always say that *g*.
