Petition...

So Thursday night I made it to the Lodge at 7pm to sign a petition for membership. I met several men who made sure I was comfortable and in good company. We sat and talked for around an hour about who I knew, why I was interested, and so on. Robby's dad called while I was there and luckily remembered me. I had a dream a few days ago that for whatever reason kind've changed my feeligs on the masonry thing.

how has it been, have you been treated kindly and accepted, or kept at a distance and treated like a child or outsider?

they've been so cool about everything. its as if as soon as I came into the Lodge to fill out my paperwork, I was treated as an equal, or more than that even. from what I could tell I'm as good as in, but no one ever really knows until they give the o.k.

I'll just keep on hoping I guess.

p.s. if it's any consolation, one of the questions on the petition sheet was "Do you believe in a one true God?" and if you don't, you can't join. also they swear upon the Bible during initiations, and most if not all of them go to a church. but....they do drink coffee...

yea, for some reason or another, I've been really compelled to look further into it, and to maybe move in the direction of joining a lodge. I think it'll definitely be something I'm pursuing in the near future.
