My initial review of Black Postcards

Whiny rich kids make indie music, are not happy about any of it.

100 pages in and I swear not one person involved has smiled once.

I'm not saying it is a bad book though, but no one appears to be appreciating what they do.

Ingrates.

Really? I thought parts of the book are (intentionally) hilarious. Wareham just has a very dry sense of humor.

It is a grueling existence, being on the road all the time. But he did not seem to like his bandmates, the venues, the management, his first wife, his fans, making the music, writing the lyrics and on and on.

It was a well told story, but I really could not like the guy.
