the blue jackets made it close, but not close enough. they teased their fans, again. i feel sorry for the people who shelled out big bucks for season tickets.

during the last DM show, he apparently said anyone attending games can move into empty seats and must move if the ticket holders show up...this is about the only good thing DM has done, besides trading up to get nash, IMO.

so i'm getting $10 seats and maybe i can get in the center ice lounge (been in there once and it was niiiiice).

and apparently, the gridlock from the last "blizzard" we had was due to the fact that "snowplowers are as affected by the weather as everyone else". i understand they can't plow sitting in gridlock, but aren't they able to treat the roads before said snowfall? and maybe they should give themselves some extra time...

One thing I remember about NY, and I wish they'd learn it here. The plows sit in the crossovers and such on the highways for about an hour or so before the snow starts. Then when it starts, they start spreading the salt. And as there gets to be accumulation, they start plowing. Why the hell can't Ohio learn from that? Or is that sort of forethought just the Excelsior spirit?
