Earlier today I went to a lecture, "Don't be a Bobblehead," about improving writing style. It was quite good. In about half an hour, I have to go to "Tea with Tammy" (oh delightful!) so here's a quick little summary of the hand-written notes I took, and probably a few bits of my own nitpicks interspersed through them

Hope tea with Tammie was lovely. Call your daddy chapstick before or after the Opera, willya? Janacek tonight. I'm getting off, because it is a terrifying big bad thunderstorm and the giant ash tree is whipping about like there'll be no tomorrow if I keep sitting here in the crash path.

You just read my email, didn't you. Don't do that. It makes me feel invaded. Like you just read my diary. Or you can read my email if you must, since I don't, but don't invade my livejournal. Sorry if I sound kind of gruff. But that really hurt my feelings.
