I was interviewed for an Internet radio program a few weeks ago; the interview was pretty general, just talking about autism and related topics.

I really wish Blog Talk Radio did its interviews via something with more bandwidth than the phone. Because the consonants are all muffled, it takes way too many spoons to decipher speech over the phone.

I can't wait till Tera on the Dreamwidth transcripts community posts the transcript of this, though!

Erm. I thought this was another Blog Talk Radio show, which Tera is doing official transcripts for. Oops. But I've asked her in a PM if she'd be willing to do this one too.

Interesting!- there's all kinds of things I handle much better than you (according to your accounts in this blog, compared with my experience of my own functioning), but I couldn't have done that interview. Nowhere near.

Edited to add: I posted the above while I was still listening. I just heard the part where you addressed the phenomenon I described in the second paragraph.

Yes, oddly enough I've been good at speaking ever since I figured it out--even before I learned to have a proper conversation. I write things in my head and say them, and writing comes really naturally to me ( ... )
