Can treatment make somebody less autistic?

People, including autistic people, change as time goes on, and are influenced by their environments. New neural connections are made and strengthened when they are used.

I have felt this way for a while. It makes me sad when I see parents who think their child is no longer Autistic, when the child has just learned how to communicate and deal.

Yet if the parent only considers those issues to represent Autism, as you say, they are correct in saying the Autism is 'gone'.
